What to expect:
We understand the importance of practical experience and have designed the Futures Program to provide exposure to the real-world work environment where the keystones of a trades mindset are applied regularly. Troubleshooting technical and mechanical systems and building an understanding through teamwork. This position grants participants a unique opportunity to gain insights into Mobile Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning Service, and Idle Management systems.

Your commitment: 
Selected candidates will assume the role of Technician's Helper and receive a competitive hourly wage. The Futures Program will provide a full-time, Monday-to-Friday opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow within the Simplicity Air service shop. The program spans from July 4th to September 1st, 2023, and with successful completion, our Futures Program candidate could receive additional benefits in support of their next steps into a trades career.

Our program focuses on providing a hands-on learning environment where you will be guided by experienced technicians with decades of practical expertise. Through regular feedback and evaluation, we ensure that you have the necessary support to chart your progress and enhance your skills throughout the program.

Apprenticeship Hours and Tool Bursary:
A standout feature of the Futures Program is accumulating valuable apprenticeship hours. The hours worked during the program may be credited towards apprenticeships in professions such as Agricultural Equipment Technician, Automotive Service Technician, Powered Lift Truck Technician, Truck and Coach Technician, and Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician. This accelerates your career advancement and solidifies your commitment to professional development.

Additionally, candidates who demonstrate exceptional performance and successfully complete the program will be eligible for a tool bursary of up to $1,500.00. This financial support empowers you to invest in tools and equipment to significantly enhance your training and education, setting you up for long-term success in the trades.
