Parts Counter Person

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you a person who likes to work with service techs and customers alike? Are you up for a position that will challenge your skills in sourcing parts that are used in both off-road and highway applications? Simplicity Air Ltd is on a mission to become the sought-after service company that is the on the leading edge of mobile service repair. This is not your typical parts position as this will challenge you.

The Parts Counter Person will provide parts for service & sales departments, ship & receive parts. You will also be responsible for taking parts calls, sourcing out parts and dealing with suppliers.

Responsibilities: Provide parts for Service Vehicles, provide parts for Service Techs in shop, unload inventory shipments, stock shelves with received parts, ship parts out to customers by courier, pull and stock parts for the Sales Vehicles. Also deal with customers and finding parts for various jobs that the service department will require.

Qualifications: In addition to excellent computer skills, the candidate must be flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced service environment, personable, energetic with a positive attitude, customer orientated with the ability to work well under pressure, be organized and follow through on orders. Must be able to work independently as well as with others and have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Must have clean driver's abstract.

Candidates must demonstrate a rigorous and disciplined approach to the quality of their work, job responsibilities and work environment. Must have excellent imagination for thinking outside the box and enjoy new challenges. Experience with parts in automotive, trucking or farm equipment will be beneficial and preference will be given to those applicants with this type of experience.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

At Simplicity Air Ltd. we are in search of a qualified and resourceful HR generalist that likes to be a significant part of the company that you work for in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. As the HR Generalist, you will be working directly with the dealer principles in developing the procedures within our small space in developing the strategies to align employee behaviour with organizational goals. The HR generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions, such as staffing, training, and development of internal policies and procedures.


Objectives of this Role

  • Manage the development and execution of personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
  • Manage the Joint Health and Safety Committee
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard talent to meet the vision, mission, and values of the company
  • Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements
  • Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve the efficiency of the organization as a whole
  • Ensure legal compliance with HR regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required
  • Manage employee compliance


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews
  • Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees concerning absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies
  • Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee relations
  • Work towards improving company policies and procedures
  • Handle termination-related matters and prepare termination and severance letters
  • Be well versed in employment laws and regulations regarding hiring and firing
  • Will serve as an active member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field
  • Additional HR training or experience is required
  • Must have excellent skills in creative writing for creating personnel procedures in all departments
  • Must have exceptional learning ability to be able to identify company needs and challenges on an ongoing basis.
  • Knowledge and expertise in HR policies and procedures
  • Significant knowledge of the hiring process
  • A strong understanding of best practices and current regulations specific to HR
  • Strategic thinking from a high-level organizational perspective
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge about conflict management
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in software like MS Office and Google Docs
